Hanging on the wall of Dr. Ralph Filson’s office is a picture of St. Louis Cardinals infielder Julian Javier, autographed to his father Raymond Filson.
"I found the picture when we were cleaning out dad’s stuff after he passed away. I put that up to remind me of my dad," said Filson.
"My dad took care of some Cardinal players in the 1960s, early ‘70s. They weren’t even allowed to tell the trainers or medical staff they even thought about a chiropractor, because it was forbidden," said Dr. Filson. "I remember when I was a kid and he used to come home and mention a couple of the players’ names. I was in awe of the whole thing. I thought ‘Would that be so neat to do that?’ Here I ended up dong a lot more than he did. It is kind of funny how those things go around."
